Ogden, Utah, came to prominence by being an important junction on the Union Pacific main line. Today the old Union Station has been converted to house a series of small museums, including the modest Utah State Railroad Museum. The museum features model trains and the history of nearby Promontory Point plus the viaduct across the Great Salt Lake anchored at Ogden.
