Pompeo Luigi Coppini (1870-1957) born & trained in Italy, immigrated to the USA in 1897 & arrived in Texas in 1901. His commissions included figures for Confederate monument at Capitol in Austin, Littlefield Fountain Memorial & other statues at the University of Texas at Austin. & the cenotaph to the heroes of the Alamo in San Antonio.
