Brooklyn Museum Photos

The Brooklyn Museum (200 Eastern Parkway) is one of the major full-range art museums in America, though it is often overlooked because of New York's other competing attractions. The Brooklyn Museum has notable collections of paintings, decorative arts and artefacts of ancient civilizations. It is housed in a Beaux-Arts building (1895) designed by McKim, Mead & White. A modern entrance by James Stewart Polshek was added in 2004. For a time the attraction was known as the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
