Ithaca, NY Photos

Ithaca, NY sits on the southern end of Cayuga Lake in New York's finger lakes district. The town first grew because early pioneers going west could shorten the trip by taking a train to Ithaca, then a steamer north to the Erie Canal. Cornell University is now the town's main claim to fame. A small heritage district remains.
