Citigroup Center (1977) (153 East 53rd St. at Lexington) (59 floors) is noted both for its diagonally cut crown and the fact that it sits on stilts above the ground with the new St. Peter's Lutheran Church beneath one corner. The church was the original owner of the land. It is by architects Edward Larrabee Barnes Assoc. + The Stubbins Assoc., Inc. + Emery Roth & Sons.
