Streetcars of New Orleans Photos

The Streetcars of New Orleans have operated electrically since 1893. The streetcars themselves date from designs of the 1920s. More modern streetcars were never adopted, meaning that with diligent restoration, rebuilding & adaptation, New Orleans has maintained its antique look, so important to its tourist appeal. The main line is the St. Charles line which runs to the Garden District, Tulane University and beyond.
