Garden District, New Orleans Photos

The Garden District of New Orleans was an area started by well-to-do Americans to escape the tensions of living amongst the Creole population of the French Quarter. The upscale architectural gems built from the 1830s to the 1880s make this neighborhood roughly bounded by St. Charles, Jackson, Magazine & Washington Streets one of the most popular tourist walking tours in New Orleans.
