Cathedral of Milan Photos

Milan Cathedral or Duomo (1386 - 1809) was commissioned by Gian Galeazzo Visconti. Having taken over 400 years to complete, several architects were involved including Nicholas de Bonaventure & Fillipino degli Organi. The Lombard Gothic style is marked by hundreds of exterior sculptures gracing every spire & niche. The roof of the Cathedral is itself a tourist spot for those wishing to see the sculptures.
