Abraham Lincoln Tomb in Springfield Photos

Abraham Lincoln's tomb is both a monument to the beloved assassinated president & the Civil War soldiers & sailors who served under his command. The monument is a 117-foot tall granite obelisk. Around the terrace statues by Larkin Mead show a standing Lincoln plus cavalry, infantry, artillery & sailors in action. At ground level stands a bust of Lincoln by Gutzon Borglum. Inside stands the crypt of Lincoln plus the remains of Mary Todd Lincoln & three of their four children.
