Stoneware Crock & Jug Photos

Antique stoneware crocks & jugs in the collections of various museums & museum houses. Ceramic vessels were the cans & containers of many foodstuffs in up to the early 20th Century. They were manufactured locally & often are inscribed or painted with the place of manufacture & the store, manufacturer or supplier who delivered commodities in them.
