16th Street Mall, Denver Photos

Now a major tourist stop, 16th Street which runs from Union Station almost to the State Capitol has been converted to a pedestrian and bus mall where the buses provide free transport. Consequently 16th & neighboring 17th Street have become a renewed spine of the city where heritage buildings have been restored, highrises have sprouted and hundreds of pedestrians stroll throughout the day. This page is arranged to expose viewers to what they would experience walking the Mall. The original designs for the Mall were done by architect I.M. Pei.
