Byers Evans House Museum, Denver Photos

The Byers Evans House Museum built by Rocky Mountain News publisher Williams Byers in 1883, was purchased in 1889 by William Gray Evans, an officer of the Denver Tramway Company. The Evans family played a key role in the cultural development of Denver and the family's collection of native art formed the core of the Denver Art Museum, which now surrounds the mansion.
