Coit Tower & Murals, San Francisco Photos

The 180 feet tall Coit Tower (1933) on Telegraph Hill is a popular viewpoint. It is also celebrated for a series of Art Deco 1934 murals sponsored by the U.S. government as Depression relief project under the direction of Dr. Walter Heil. The project employed 25 of San Francisco's best artists.
