Fort Condé, Mobile Photos

French Fort Condé (1723), renamed Fort Charlotte under British (1763), then Fort Carlota under Spanish rule (1780) & then renamed back to Fort Charlotte under American rule (1813) sits in what is now Mobile, Alabama. Demolished in 1820, Fort Condé has been replicated in 4/5 scaled & serves as a museum & Mobile's welcome center.
