Chavin Art of Peru Photos

The Chavin civilization (1000-500 BCE) lived along what is now coastal Peru north & south of present Lima. Chavin ceramics used bridge & stirrup handles, a style later used by the Moche who occupied the northern end of Chavin territory hundreds of years later.
